The objective of the MIS program is to provide the Saudi market with MIS entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals. Our MIS graduates are exposed to a blended approach that combines theories with the best practices in the MIS to develop their critical thinking and technical skills that will allow them to create value for their organizations and contribute to the development of the Saudi economy in improving its productivity and competitiveness.
Our MIS graduates are expected to play a significant role in achieving the goals of Vision 2030 through supporting the Saudi digital transformation and technology advancements. As well, our graduates are equipped to be solution oriented and innovators that will create value of their organizations. As well, the MIS program is preparing for the ABET accreditation and recognition. This will give our graduates a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Structure of the MIS Program
The MIS program consists of 133 total credits hours: university requirements = 35 credit hours, college requirements = 45 credit hours, major requirements = 38 credit hours (MIS courses = 28 credit hours + coop training = 6 credit hours + senior project = 4 credit hours), and elective courses that can be used for a minor = 15 credit hours for MIS major, but 16 credit hours for non MIS major.
